VPSN
The Virtual Production Studio Network (VPSN) project focuses on researching and developing teaching materials for pre-preproduction using Virtual Production (VP) technologies.
What was the goal of this research?
The primary goal of this research was to create comprehensive teaching materials that address the use of Virtual Production technologies. Additionally, the project aims to provide hands-on experience for lecturers and students, fostering collaboration and understanding the future needs of media professionals.
What method was employed?
To achieve its goals, the VPSN project engaged in the following methods:
- Collaboration Among Universities: Universities from Denmark, Norway, Portugal, and BUas worked together to research and develop the necessary educational materials.
- Hands-On Experience: Lecturers and students from the consortium gained practical experience using BUas's XR stage, which is a cutting-edge facility for exploring VP technologies.
- Pre-Preproduction Focus: The project specifically concentrated on the pre-preproduction phase, ensuring that the teaching materials were tailored to this crucial stage in the production process.
What findings did we uncover?
The VPSN project yielded several key findings:
- Educational Materials Development: The project successfully developed teaching materials that can be used to educate future media professionals on VP technologies.
- Enhanced Collaboration: The hands-on experience at BUas's XR stage facilitated better collaboration among students and lecturers from different universities, enhancing their understanding of VP technologies.
- Future Media Needs: Insights were gained into the needs of future media professionals, helping to shape the curriculum and teaching approaches to better prepare students for careers in the evolving media landscape.
This project has established a strong foundation for ongoing collaboration and innovation in the field of Virtual Production, contributing significantly to the education and preparation of future media professionals.
