ALT-ER 2.0

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, equipping young children with the foundational skills they need for lifelong learning has never been more critical. The Early Education Game project is at the forefront of this mission, focusing on the integration of technology into early childhood education.

What was the goal of this research?

The goal of this project was to support the early educational development of European children by creating tools and frameworks that facilitate a smooth transition from kindergarten to school. The project aimed to reduce early school leaving and equip young children with technological skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

What method was employed?

The project involved developing age-appropriate ICT animation tools and games tailored to the needs of children aged 4-6. Alongside these tools, a pedagogical framework was created to support the transition phase from kindergarten to school. The partnership focused on creating engaging and educational content that fosters resilience and a love for learning in young children.

What did we achieve?

The project successfully developed a range of ICT animation tools and games that are suitable for young children. These tools, supported by a robust pedagogical framework, have shown promise in enhancing the educational experiences of children aged 4-6. The initiative has contributed to creating more resilient learning environments, reducing the likelihood of early school leaving, and improving children's technical skills with technology.
