Tuition fee
In the academic year 2025-2026, students who
- have the Dutch nationality or the nationality of another country that is part of the EEA, or the Surinamese or Swiss nationality and
- have not already obtained a master's degree from a government-funded programme in the Netherlands at the start of the academic year.
pay a tuition fee of €2,601.
If this does not apply to you, you pay the institutional tuition fee. In the academic year 2025-2026 the institutional fee is €16,650.

NON-EU students, please take into account the costs of a visa and/or a residence permit. You will also have to transfer proof of sufficient means of support.

Additional costs
In addition to tuition fees, during the study programme, you will need to consider costs for participation in the introduction week and the purchase of study materials such as books, readers and software. You will also need a laptop. Furthermore, there may be additional costs for excursions, company visits and field trips.
Costs (estimated) for Urban Tourism and Mobility:
- Introduction week: €100
- Books: €0
- Field research: €750 (excluding accommodation, cost of living, visas and vaccinations). These costs depend heavily on the destination and your own preferences.
Tuition fees do not cover the costs of accommodation, transport and living expenses during all phases (including phase 2).
