Every year since 2000, the HBO-Fietstocht (HBO Bike Ride) has been organised by one of the universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. It is a tradition for this ride to take place just prior to the new academic year. This year, BUas is organising the HBO Bike Ride, to take place on Friday 22 August 2025.

The goal of the ride is to strengthen the network with higher education colleagues from across the country in a sporty way and to boost vitality. There will be rides in distances of around 50, 75 and 100km.
In April, we expect to open registration for higher education colleagues.
